ACCO Announces Next Phase of Research on Climate Risk
and Environmental Sustainability in Supply Chain Focused Efforts

Take
the survey

Special thanks to:

ACCO has designed a short survey aimed for practitioners involved in the supply chain sustainability efforts. The goal of this phase is to learn more about the challenges and opportunities facing practitioners across a variety of disciplines and sectors.

Important Details:

  • There are 21 questions -- the survey should take 15-20 minutes to complete.
  • Deadline for submission is Friday, November 8, 2013.
  • Individual answers remain strictly private and no identifying information will be shared unless you indicate otherwise.

Why Should I Take This Survey?

  1. If you participate in any of our upcoming programs that cover supply chain sustainability (e.g. the Operation Supply Chain Workshop, ACCO's Defense, National Security & Climate Change Symposium and 2014 Climate Strategies Forum), your participation will serve to directly inform the educational content in those programs.  We'll even offer you an additional discount on registration for those events.
  2. If you fill out the survey completely and "opt-in" at the end, we'll give you a 50% discount on the Operation Supply Chain Workshop.
  3. There will be opportunities to collaborate with individuals involved in this activity who may serve to inform your efforts and/or become strategic partners.
  4. Access to the complete report resulting from this phase of the project (an abstract will be made publicly available).

About the Supply Chain Questionnaire Harmonization Project ...

Over the past two years, ACCO has facilitated exploratory conversations designed to examine the prospects of harmonizing supply chain questionnaires. Based on those discussions, ACCO established an advisory group consisting of leading NGOs and multinational corporations to oversee a research project conducted by graduate students in the Nicholas School for Environment at Duke University. In 2012-2013, the Duke project team interviewed dozens of supply chain leaders on the topic and analyzed supply chain questionnaires from leading companies, trade groups and NGOs.

The resulting report, Challenges and Opportunities in Supply Chain Environmental Sustainability Disclosure, provides an in depth analysis of existing activities taking place and makes recommendations for harmonizing supply chain questionnaires.  This report will serve as the foundation for a large multi-stakeholder effort that ACCO will convene to move forward with this effort.
